Barbara Betten, age 78 of Fremont, passed away Monday, January 02, 2012 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Barbara was born on June 5, 1933 in Fremont to John and Grace R. (Roelofs) Betten and has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area where she had been a dietary aid at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility for many years until her retirement. Barbara was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church in Fremont. Barbara is survived by her sisters, Bernadine Boeskool of Fremont; Grace (Maurice Morey) Racey of Hudsonville; Marcia Barnes of Wayland; many nieces and nephews. Barb was preceded in death by her sisters, Harriet McCann; Kay Westbrook; her infant sister; her brothers, John Betten and Joseph Betten. VISITATION : Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 11-12pm at the Second Christian Reformed Church in Fremont. FUNERAL SERVICES : Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 12pm at the Second Christian Reformed Church.
