Barbara Bode, age 79 of Muskegon, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2002 at the University Park Mercy Living Center in Muskegon. She was born on June 16, 1922 in Fremont to Henry and Reka (Rozema) Bode and had been a nurses aid at the Hackley Hospital in Muskegon for many years. She was a member of the Fellowship Reformed Church in Muskegon. She is survived by her sisters and brothers, Robert Bode of Westminster, CO; Charles (Alice) Bode of New Baltimore, MI; Betty Bayless of Cadillac; Lois (Warren) Dusseljee of Holland; Mariam (William) Sneller of Fremont; sister-in-law, Jean (Alden) Sneller of Fremont She was preceded in death by her mother, Reka Bode on May 9, 1988 and her father, Henry on July 12, 1970; one brother, Stanley Bode in March 11, 1980. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 14, 2002 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery with Rev. Greg VanderMeer of the Fellowship Reformed Church in Muskegon presiding. Friends may consider the Fellowship Reformed Church Mission Fund for memorial contributions.
