Barbara Jean Brunette, age 80 of Hesperia, formerly of Grand Haven, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 1, 2022. Barbara was born on March 24, 1942 in Chicago to William and Emily (Lewandowski) Miller and graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1959. Barbara met and later married Richard Brunette on July 4, 1959 in Grand Haven and had been a cashier at Meijer in Grand Haven for 28 years until her retirement in 1999. Barbara enjoyed doll making and had a large doll collection; she refurbished and donated over 400 dolls to local charities through the years and enjoyed spending winters on South Padre Island in Texas. She was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia. Barbara treasured the time she spent with her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Barbara is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard of Hesperia; her children, Connie (Mike) Nienhouse; Jerry (Pat) Brunette; Karen (Tim) King; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; her sister, Pat Etheridge; several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers and sister-in-law, Bob (Dorothy) Miller and Richard Miller; her brother-in-law, Roy Etheridge.
