Barbara Jean Cooper, age 88, of Fremont passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019, at StoryPoint Nursing Home in Rockford. Barbara was born on April 17, 1931, in Kalamazoo to Martin and Roza (Czekely) Bedecs and Married Wesley Verne Cooper on November 22, 1951, in Kalamazoo on the campus of Western Michigan University. Barbara enjoyed gardening, sewing, and was an active member of the Grace Community Church in Howard City. Barbara is survived by her husband, Wesley; Children Pastor Joel (Peggy) Cooper of Howard City, Jeff (Carolyn) Cooper of Cheboygan, and Kevin (Carol) Cooper of Zeeland; grandchildren, Nathan, Rachel, Sarah, Aaron, Peter, and Andrew. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Eddie, Martin, and Julius. A Celebration of Barbara's Life will be held at 11 AM of Saturday, December 21, 2019, at the Grace Community Church in Howard City with Pastor Joel Cooper officiating. (9920 Reed Rd.
