Barbara Ann Dow, age 55 of Fremont, passed away Thursday, March 08, 2012 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Barb was born on September 28, 1956 in Fremont to Charles E. and Shirley P. (Lareva) Binkley and graduated from Fremont High School in 1974. Barb later married Tim Dow on May 9, 1975 in Fremont. Barb had worked as a certified nurses aid at the Meadows Nursing Home in Fremont and later had been an underwriter at Fremont Mutual until downsizing and she became a homemaker. Barb was a huge animal lover and took in many animals thru the years. She enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, especially the hummingbirds and also reading. Barb truly enjoyed being a mother and grandmother. Barb is survived by her husband of 37 years, Tim of Fremont; her daughter, Erin Dow and Chris Bernardo of Rockford; her son, Ryan (Miranda) Dow of Hesperia; her grandchildren, Olivia, Tyler, Gunner, Avary, and Weston; her mother-in-law, Barbara Ulrich of Pennsylvania; her brothers, Charles (Anamie) Binkley of Fremont; Scott (Sue) Binkley of Fremont; her brother-in-law, Jim (Kim) Dow of Hesperia; sisters-in-laws, Sherri (Rodney) Davis of Pennsylvania; Lisa (Larry) Wedlock of Pennsylvania; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley on July 13, 2006 and by her father, Charles on February 26, 2004. VISITATION : Monday, March 12, 2012 from 5-8pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel.
