Barbara Ann (Lammy) Lindner, age 93 of Fremont, Michigan passed away on April 15, 2021. She was born on June 18, 1927 to Samuel Lowell Lammy and Lola Seymour Lammy and was raised on the family farm in Twining, Michigan, with her two brothers and one sister.
Her early years on the farm cultivated a strong commitment to pursuing her personal best in all life's responsibilities. After graduating high school in Standish, Michigan, she attended Michigan State College (MSC) where she earned a BS degree in Physical Education/Health/Recreation with a minor in K-8 education/science/math. MSC also was where she met a dashing young man named Paul Thomas Lindner. Their romance led to being married in the Fremont Congregational Church on August 7, 1948, beginning a lifelong journey of 70 years together.
Barbara will be remembered for her caring and giving spirit; her inquisitive nature and insatiable appetite for learning as exemplified by earning a Master of Education degree and continuing her love of teaching; and her modesty about her many accomplishments. Also, she felt blessed to have enjoyed traveling both near and far with family and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thomas Lindner; her parents Samuel and Lola Lammy; her brother and sister-in-law Robert Lowell (Emily) Lammy; her brother Jack Edward Lammy; her sister and brother-in-law Pauline Sue (Jim) Mitts; her in-laws Carl George and Millicent (Schusta) Lindner; and her brother-in-law Carl Henry Lindner
She is survived by her sons Sonny (Gina Tabachki) Lindner, Peter Michael (Nancy) Lindner, Daniel Robert (Anita) Lindner; grandchildren Rurik Teslin (Teresa) Lindner, Chad Joseph (Lindsay Kanter) Lindner, Ava Joanne (Dan) Pletta, Sarah Ann Lindner, Samuel Johnson Lindner, Erika Franklin; great grandchildren Aubrey and Ethan Wilson, Genavieve Adalia Paul, Teslin Jane Lindner; nieces Kim Mitts Vanderveen, Susan Mitts, Sue (Dave) Keniston; nephews Tim (Cheryl) Mitts, James Lammy, Ed (Jo Marie) Lammy; sister-in-law Sally Roberts and many special friends.
