Barbara Johann Rogers, age 80 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at her home. Barbara was born on May 8, 1939 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Francis and Edna Margaret (Peterson) Morgan. Barbara moved to the White Cloud area from Hart and had been a homemaker. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, making fry bread, attending Pow Wows, mushroom hunting, finding pudding stones and being in Michigan outdoors. Barbara was proud of her Native American heritage and was an elder in the Ste. St. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Barbara is survived by her children, Elizabeth (John) Kosla of White Cloud; Donna Joel (John Butler) Trapp of Virginia Beach; Charles J. Bennett of White Cloud; Robert L. Rogers Jr. of Bitely; her grandchildren, Erica (Michael) Powers; Amanda (Ryan Essebaggers) Brandt; Angela Ditlow; Charles (Marinea) Bennett; Brooke Rogers; Alexus (Garrett Weeks) Rogers; Jarod Wilder; 21 great grandchildren; her brother, Lamonte Morgan of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends, William and LaVerne Blickley. She was preceded in death by her son, Samuel J. Bennett; her sisters and brothers, Frank Morgan, Gloria Thomas, Shirley Girard, Lois Jones, Zane Morgan, Patricia Phillips, Peter Morgan, David Morgan, Judith Anes. A special thank you to Hospice of Michigan – Big Rapids for all the care and kindness they showed to our Mom and family. Also special thank you to Dr. J. Pouliot and her staff at Family Health Care Clinic for the wonderful treatment you gave to her throughout the years.
