Barbara Ellen Talbott, age 88, of Fremont passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at home. Barbara was born on June 18, 1933, in Fremont to John Jay and Dena (Ritterman) Brookhouse and married Richard William Talbott on December 22, 1953, in Fremont. Barbara enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint, was a great cook, and had been a member of Ferry United Methodist Church. Barbara loved mushrooming and spending time at the Wellspring Ministry Program at the Reeman Christian Reformed Church. Barbara lived her life loving and caring for her family. Barbara is survived by her children, Steve (Catherine) Talbott of Twin Lake, Deborah McDonnell of Fremont, and Scott (Christine) Talbott of Spokane Washington; grandchildren, Kevin (Kelly) Anderson, Jackie (Justin) Seidel, Andrea (Eric) Bertram, Sarah (Kevin Hallberg) Talbott, Catlin Talbott, and Courtney Talbott; 7 great-grandchildren; and brother and sister, Kenneth (Char) Brookhouse and Sandra Mendham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; daughter, Brenda Talbott; sister and brothers, Evelyn Bekkering, Arvid Brookhouse, and Carl Brookhouse. Visitation will be held from 10 – 11 AM on Monday, December 20, 2021, at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11 AM with Pastor Nate Kooistra officiating. Interment will be in West Hesperia Cemetery.
