Barbara Ann Wilson, age 59 of Newaygo, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 at her home. Barbara was born on June 22, 1953 in Hubbard, Ohio to John A. and Barbara Ann (Suhy) Sauline. Barb married Richard L. Wilson on May 10, 1980 in Grand Rapids and Richard preceded her in death on April 9, 2004. Barb moved to the Newaygo area in 1980 from Comstock Park and had worked at the Oceana Realty Company with her father as a realtor for several years prior to retirement. Barb had been active in the Newaygo V.F.W.; had enjoyed boating on Hess Lake; golfing in her younger years and enjoyed being a host mother to exchange students. Barbs true enjoyment came from being a grandmother. Barb is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael (Amber) Wilson of Fremont; her father, John Jack Sauline of Newaygo; her grandchildren, Mackenzie Wilson and Connor Wilson; her brothers, Jack (Diane) Sauline of Grand Rapids; Mark (Tammy) Sauline of Grand Rapids; Nick (Debbie) Sauline of Port Charlotte, Florida; her mother-in-law, Fannie Smith of Muskegon; sister-in-law, Becky (Gary) Counselor of Muskegon. Barb was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Ann Sauline on August 19, 2005. A time of celebration and remembrance will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Newaygo V.F.W. Memorial Hall 9083 Mason Drive Newaygo MI 49337. Interment will take place at Newaygo Cemetery. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Fremont Area Community Foundation for the Richard L. Wilson Memorial Fund for Cancer Research.
