Obituary

Beatrice A. "Bea" Davis, passed away Friday, July 6, 2001 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont following a long illness. She was born on June 21, 1914 in Brooksville, Mississippi to King and Ardesta (Kirsey) Pattion and married Johnny Davis in 1947 in Detroit. She had been employed by the United Theater Company in Detroit for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the White Cloud Church of God Empowerment Center in White Cloud. She is survived by her children, Mrs. Bessie M. Compton of Detroit; John L. Davis of Detroit; Adbul Rasulallah of Detroit; 10 grandchildren, Donna, Robert (Stephani), Johnny, Jongellagha, Tanya, Johnny, Addul, Shaka, JoJo, and Jakeia all of Detroit; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Joyce Pattion of Texas; brother, Jimmy Pattion of Mississippi; 3 sister-in-laws, Addie Barnes of Detroit; Mae Pearl Davis and Rosscella Davis both of Knoxville, Tennessee; brothers-in-law, Joe Davis and Eddie Davis of Detroit; Jimmie Davis of Knoxville, TN; host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, including, Rev. & Mrs. James (Lera) Jackson of White Cloud; Mr. & Mrs. Sylvester (Addie) Williams of Muskegon; JoAn VanHurley of Flint; a number of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny, her mother and father, and 2 brothers, Frank Pattion and Percy Pattion. Funeral services were held on Friday, July 13, 2001 from the White Cloud Church of God Empowerment Center in White Cloud with Superintendent Robert E. Smith officiating with interment in the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery in White Cloud. Arrangements by Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud. www.crandellfh.com
