Beatrice Mary Hoppa, age 94 of Fremont, went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2002 at 2pm. She was born on March 6, 1908. Her father and mother were Durwood and Mary Wells of Huber, Michigan. She was married November 29, 1934 to Fred Joseph Hoppa in Fremont, MI. She is survived by her husband, Fred of Fremont; her children, Rex & Eileen Hoppa of Raleigh, NC; Lee & Lorna Hoppa of Fremont; Kay Vaughn of Fremont; Hal & Christie Hoppa of Holland, MI, along with 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. They lived on the same farm near Wooster, MI for 67 years, with Beatrice serving as a full partner to Fred. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who joyfully welcomed the new babies as they arrived. She looked forward to having family visits in the last 14 months she was at Transitional Health Services where she was known as Grandma Bea who always laughed. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 16, 2002 from the Crandell Funeral Home -Fremont Chapel with Pastor Charles Jones of the Faith Bible Church presiding with interment in the Sherman Township Cemetery.
