Beatrice Hough, age 82, of White Cloud passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at her home with her family by her side. Bea was born on January 4, 1937, to Frank and Anna (Olsen) Vellenga at home in Moorland Township in Muskegon County and later married James Lee Hough on December 9, 1972. Bea had worked as an injection mold operator and caregiver, but much of her time and energy was spent raising her family. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, and going to the casino to win at the slots. Bea cherished her time with her family. Bea is survived by her husband, James; children, Diane (Bob) Irwin of Ravenna, Donald (Sheilah) Pape of Muskegon, Sheila (Don "OB") O'Brien of Muskegon, and Sherry (Mark) Bryant of Muskegon; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sister and brother, Linda Major of Muskegon and Jack McPherson of Muskegon; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob (Linda) Hough, Diane (Larry) Moore, and Linda Skeels; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Vellenga; step-father, Jack McPherson; sister, Lorraine McKeller; brother, Melvin Vellenga, and great-grandson, Hunter O'Brien. Celebration of Life will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at the Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud with visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM.
