Berneice Hoffman, age 85, of Iron River and formerly of Lansing passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2001, in Iron River. She was born on July 14, 1915 in Lansing to Frank Alexander and Edith (Farr) Mix. She was married to Maurice Hoffman on April 30, 1942 and he preceded her in death on May 27, 1997. Surviving are 2 daughters Mrs. Victoria Skuse of Lansing; Mrs. Jacqueline Esther (Billy) Hill of White Cloud; 3 sons Stanley Edson (Sharon) Reed Jr. of Battle Creek; Thomas J. (Nancy) Reed of Byron Center; Richard (Linda) Reed of Pole Bridge, Montana; 13 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 2 nephews. Funeral Services and visitation were held on Sat. Feb. 10, 2001 at the First Baptist Church of Laingsburg with Pastor F. Steven Brown officiating. Internment was in Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing. Arrangements by Crandell Funeral Homes, Inc.
