Dr. BethAnne (Hausermann) Townsend, DVM of Hesperia, and formerly Northern Muskegon, passed away on Thursday, October 21st at the age of 57. She was born on December 21st, 1963, in Evanston, Illinois to Carl and Marcia (Warner) Hausermann. BethAnne graduated from Ionia High School in 1982, received her bachelor's degree from Albion College in 1986, and her Doctorate degree from Michigan State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She practiced at Northside Veterinary Hospital and was an outstanding and compassionate veterinarian, with a loyal and appreciative clientele. She and her spouse, Mark Townsend, resided together in the Northern Muskegon and Hesperia area for 16 years (married August 2014). BethAnne was a loving mother and wife. She enjoyed dancing, painting, bicycling, spending time outdoors and on the water, taking long motorcycle rides with friends, camping, and cuddling her animals. BethAnne will be remembered by family and friends as an exceptionally kind and loving person with a generous heart who was full of fun and laughs. She will be greatly missed by all. BethAnne is survived by her husband Mark Townsend of Hesperia, her daughter Kari Beth LaPointe of Chicago, her son Kyle (Elizabeth) LaPointe of Chicago, her step-daughter Markaya Townsend of Muskegon, her step-daughter Desha (Brandon) Dykstra of Jackson, her parents Carl and Marcia Hausermann of Portage, her sister Krista (Robert Lathers) Hausermann of Portland, her brother Kevin (Rhonda) Hausermann of Portage, as well as her in-laws, step grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her pets. VISITATION: Tuesday, November 2, 2021, from 12 pm – 1 pm, followed by a CELEBRATION of BethAnne's life at 1 pm at Fremont Chapel located at 7193 W 48th St. in Fremont, MI 49412.
