Betty Ann Cregg, age 85 of Brooksville, Florida, formerly of Holton and Fremont, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2024.  Betty was born on August 25, 1938 in Muskegon, Michigan to Frank F. and Emma V. (Thorsen) Peacock and later married Edwin L. Cregg on June 23, 1956 in Holton.  Ed preceded her in death on October 25, 2018.  Betty was a member of the Holton Evangelical Lutheran Church where she had been active all her life and enjoyed singing the older hymns.  She was active in 4-H and had been a leader as well as judge at the Newaygo County Agricultural Fair.  She enjoyed cooking, canning, quilting and sewing, crossword puzzles, traveling to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and spending her winters in Florida until she became a full time winter resident and summer time Michigan resident.  Betty's greatest enjoyment came from her family including hosting Sunday family dinners.

Betty is survived by her children, Ann (Jeff) Tillman; Amy (Rod) Beeler; Ed Cregg; Theresa (Dennis) Spencer; Rachel (Kendall) Eldred; Karen (Aldon) Struble; Roni (Joe) Powers; 27 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; her brother, Roger (Muriel) Peacock; brother-in-law, John (Mary) Cregg; sister-in-law, Gail McLachlan; many nieces and nephews.  Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; her daughter, Mary Cechura; her grandsons, Brian Beeler and Calvin Tillman.
