Betty M. Taylor, age 88 of Fremont, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Betty was born on April 18, 1923 in White Cloud to William O. and Myrtle (Teetor) McIntyre and has been a resident of the area since 1943. She had been a school teacher and homemaker and enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. Betty was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church and active in many church activities. She especially enjoyed her weekly Bible Study, Ethelyn Circle, and mentoring her young confirmands. Betty is survived by her children, Gilbert Gil (Dawn) Taylor of Fremont, Linda (Don) Meisling of Georgetown, Kentucky, Holly (Joe) Moon of Fremont, and Sandy (Mark) Burger of Pinehurst, North Carolina; 5 grandchildren, Justin (Cari) Taylor, Andrea (Todd) Dumbrell, Tamara (Shawn) Roth, Jeremy (Mary) Moon, and Joseph Burger; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces and a nephew. Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Edwin McIntyre. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011, at the Stone Lodge (4707 Trillium Springs Blvd.) in Fremont from 4 8 PM. A celebration of Bettys Life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday at the Fremont United Methodist Church with Pastor Carolin Spragg officiating.
