Betty Louise Zenk, age 86 of Fremont, formerly of White Cloud, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Betty was born on April 9, 1934 in Fremont to James T. and Anna Louise (Pratt) Wright and later graduated from Fremont High School in 1952. Betty had been a resident of the White Cloud area for many years and moved to Fremont in 2002. Betty had worked at Rite Aid in White Cloud for several years, later worked as a secretary at the Kozma Law Office in White Cloud and then had been a volunteer at Pathfinder Schools in Fremont with the Foster Grandparents Program. Betty was a member of the Faith Bible Church in White Cloud where she had been the pianist for many years. Betty was a volunteer in the historical room of the White Cloud Library and had helped with making bandages and baby blankets for the Mission field in Bangladesh and Togo. She enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, a wonderful seamstress, and quilting blankets. She always had a large vegetable garden and enjoyed her flower gardening as well. Betty is survived by her children, Rodney Zenk of Fremont; Wendy (Bob) Ekkel of Newaygo; Steven Zenk of O'Fallon, Missouri; Gwen Zenk of Fremont; Ramona (Doug) Wheater of Fremont; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; her sisters, Judith (Bill) Cody of Howard City; Arla Suiter of Tennessee; Eunice Wright of Florida; Harold (Deb) Wright of Alabama; several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce Hendrickson and Frieda Howe and by her daughter-in-law, Donna Zenk. INTERMENT : Friday, April 9, 2021 (her birthday) at 1pm at the East Hesperia Cemetery in Hesperia.
