Beverly W. DeLong, age 84 of White Cloud, passed away Monday at the Spectrum Health Kent Community Campus in Grand Rapids. Beverly was born on July 22, 1923 in White Cloud to Rowland G. and Alice (Scharphorn) Hawley and met and later married Thomas Ted DeLong on Oct. 11, 1956 in White Cloud. Ted preceded her in death in 1990. Beverly has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where she was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening and playing yahtzee. SURVIVORS : Marcia Binney of Grand Rapids; Ruth (Brent) McClain of Muskegon; Bill DeLong of White Cloud; Thomas DeLong of Grand Rapids; David DeLong of White Cloud; her grandchildren, Regina (Terry) Duplanty; Tim (Patty) Stillson; Mark (Becky) Elliott; Zoie DeLong; Ryan DeLong; Kimberly (Craig) Kolavcik; Annette (Tim) Shield; her great grandchildren, Michael Colby; Ashley and Timothy Stillson; Kimberly Elliott; Britney & Brent Kolavcik; Leah, Marcus, and Dominick Shield; her great great grand daughter, Brianna Lennox; her sister, Esther Cline of White Cloud; her sister-in-law, Kate (Chris) Christoffersen of Fremont; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Pastor Phil Jones of the Aetna Calvary Church presiding with interment in the Lincoln Township Cemetery.
