William B. Cregg, age 83, of Fremont and formerly of Scottville, died Friday, October 14, 2011, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Bill was born on April 23, 1928, in Holton to Harris E. and Frances E. (Swenson) Cregg and was a member of the Holton Evangelical Lutheran Church. Bill was a farmer and had worked as a rigger and truck driver for North American Drilling Company. Bill is survived by his son, Ivan Cregg of Bailey; 4 grandchildren, Melissa (Charles) Kowalski, Angela Pastor, Amanda (Greg) Meloche, and Eric Kittle; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ed (Betty) Cregg of Fremont, Claude Cregg of Scottville, John (Mary) Cregg of Ludington, Vera Kempf of Holton, and Gail (George) McLachlan of Evart; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Benny Cregg; sister in law, Carol Cregg; and brother in law, Alvin Kempf. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2011, at 3 PM at the Holton Evangelical Lutheran Church. There will be visitation an hour prior to the service at the Church.
