Bill Reed, age 91, of Fremont, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011, at Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Bill was born on January 2, 1920, in Fremont, to Roland Limwell and Christine (Jensen) Reed and married Geneva Leady on October 23, 1944, in Fremont. He retired from Teledyne Continental in 1982, after 36 years, and proudly served in the Army Air Corps. during WWII. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, Tiger baseball, and spending time with his family. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Geneva, of Fremont; children, Richard (Evelyn) Reed of Fremont, Linda (Robert) Loss of Fremont, Laura Stanley of Howard City, and Robert Reed of Fremont; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; many step-grand children; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Orval Reed in 1988. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, from 6 -8 PM at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Bigelow officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
