Obituary

Billie L. Bill Hamilton, age 75 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at his home following a short illness. Bill was born on May 20, 1938 to MacKinley and Ethel (Kelly) Hamilton in St. James, Arkansas and later met and married Geraldine Muilenberg on April 25, 1958 in Hart. Bill moved to the White Cloud area in 1975 from Middleville and had worked as a machine operator at Steelcase in Grand Rapids for 27 years until his retirement in 1995. Bill enjoyed rabbit hunting with his dogs, Lady, Gabi, and Skeeter. He was a longtime member of the Newaygo County Sherriffs Posse where he served for 27 years, had been a car spotter for fisherman on the Muskegon River for 17 years and enjoyed gardening. Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Geraldine of White Cloud; his children, Betty (Tom) Welton of Alto; William (Teressa) Hamilton of White Cloud; Don (Tamerla) Hamilton of White Cloud; Susan (Matt) Kosla of Cedar Springs; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; his brothers, Vaughn (Pat) Hamilton of Florida; John (Jo) Hamilton of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Chester, Ted, Bob and sister, Edith Highland. VISITATION : Monday, October 7, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 1pm at the Country Bible Church with Pastor Bob Bigelow presiding. INTERMENT : Cherokee Indian Burial Ceremony will be held at Lincoln Twp. Cemetery following cremation. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Paws for a Cause.
