Bonnie M. (O'Brien) Hysell, age 76 of Fruitport, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at her daughter's home in Chesterfield, Michigan following a short illness. Bonnie was born on August 12, 1942 in Hesperia to Eugene H. and Leta L. (Longcore) O'Brien and attended Hesperia High School where she had been the band majorette. Bonnie later moved to Fruitport and had been the dietary manager at Riverside Nursing Home in Grand Haven until her retirement in 2012. Bonnie enjoyed sewing and crafting, gardening and feeding and watching the birds at her home. Bonnie was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Muskegon. Bonnie is survived by her children, Jeffery (Dee) Hysell of Middleville; Wendy (Robert) Jones of Chesterfield, Michigan; Barbara Zehner of Lehighton, Pennsylvania; Rev. Matthew Hysell O.P. of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; her brother and sisters Mike (Helen) O'Brien of White Cloud; Betty O'Brien of Muskegon; Lucy Amburguy of Bradenton, Florida; sister-in-law, Linda (Fred) McLemore of Howard City; many nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by her sisters and brother, Daisy Rose, Leona O'Brien and Patrick O'Brien.
