Obituary

Bonnie Jean St. Peter, age 82 of Fremont, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Bonnie was born on April 16, 1937 in Stafford, Kansas to Barnabus Trenton and Stella Marie (Morford) Hayden and later graduated from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Indiana. Bonnie met and later married Richard L. St. Peter on January 27, 1956 in Lebanon, Indiana and Richard preceded her in death on November 19, 2017. Bonnie and Richard moved to the Fremont area in 1976 from Franklin, Indiana when they purchased the Northwood Golf Course which Bonnie was co-owner and operated for 44 years until her retirement. Bonnie was a member of several golf and bowling leagues and enjoyed living on Martin Lake – fishing, working in her flower garden and watching her hummingbirds. Bonnie had also enjoyed knitting, painting and was a wonderful seamstress in her younger years. Bonnie is survived by her children, Cheryl Lynn (Arthur) DeMars of Holton; Rick (Wendy) St. Peter of Fremont; her grandchildren and great grandchildren – Ashley (Jason) Finch; Cameron (Toni) Delo and their daughter, Elise Delo; Erik St. Peter; Ryan (Abby) St. Peter; Troy (Theresa) St. Peter and their son, Sullivan St. Peter; her sister, Donna (Paul) Steward of Lowell, Indiana; special friend, Fran Lingeman of Queens Creek, Arizona; and her beloved dog, Studly. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Richard; and by her sister, Deana Odom. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date following Bonnie's wishes for cremation. Service information will be updated on the web site as details become available.
