Obituary

Fremont, Michigan - Brad Eugene Geeting, cherished father, beloved grandfather, and devoted friend, passed away on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, in Fremont, Michigan. Born and raised in Fremont, Brad spent his entire life serving and enriching the community he loved so dearly. Brad was born on Tuesday, July 30th, 1946, to Harold E. Geeting and Jean Eleanor Geeting, both of whom preceded him in death.

As a dedicated Logistics Manager, Brad was known for his diligence, commitment, and leadership. Beyond his professional career, he was celebrated as a loving "Papa" to his grandchildren and "Dad" to all those who knew him.

His passion for life extended beyond his family and work; he found joy in riding motorcycles as a lifelong member and safety instructor with the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He was actively involved in the church's Lifelink Ministries and selflessly volunteered at TrueNorth, the Fremont Moose Lodge, and as a driver for the visually impaired in Newaygo County. Brad loved the freedom of the open road, whether in his Mustang convertible or his Jeep at Silver Lake Sand Dunes. His presence was always accompanied by a can of Diet Coke, a nod to his well-known obsession.

He will be profoundly missed by his loved ones, his children Marc (Margaret) Geeting, Jon (Cindy) Geeting, Shelly (Doug) Ekkel, step-daughter, Cindy Cooper, step-son, Troy (Danielle) Hendrie, brother Robert (Joyce) Geeting, and his dear Sweetie, Shirley Cadaret. His legacy is carried forward by his 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, with another on the way, and four nieces. He was preceded by his beloved spouse, Sharie Geeting, his step-daughter Kathy Menting, and his great-grandson, Eli Geeting.

Those touched by Brad's life are invited to celebrate his journey on Thursday, June 11th, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Crandell Funeral Homes Inc, Fremont, MI. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am, and a luncheon to honor his memory will be hosted at Fremont United Methodist Church at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Brad's memory to Bay Cliff Health Camp, an organization that held a special place in his heart. Arrangements are entrusted to Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel.
