Brian R. Frey, age 53 of Twin Lake, passed away unexpectedly following injuries he received in an auto accident on Monday, February 21, 2023. Brian was born on October 25, 1969 in Grant to Gerald Richard and Donna May (Barton) Frey and graduated from Fremont High School in 1988. Brian met and later married Mary Ann Cushman on August 8, 1992 in Fremont and they have been residents of the Twin Lake area since 1993. Brian had worked at Ryder Trucks in Muskegon for 20 years as a diesel mechanic, later at BASF in Muskegon for 13 years and currently was a power plant operator for Consumers Energy in West Olive where he has worked for the past 2 years. Brian was a member of the Holton Gun Club, enjoyed the Michigan outdoors – hunting and camping, wood working and making wooden furniture, gardening and growing fruit trees at his home, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and riding quads with his kids in their younger years. Brian especially treasured the time he spent with his family and being a father and dad to them. Brian is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary of Twin Lake; his children, Blake Frey of Whitehall; Travis (significant other, Jordan Smith) Frey of Twin Lake; Hannah (significant other, Logan Ingersoll) Frey of Twin Lake; his mother, Donna Frey of Holton; his brothers, Rick (Cindy) Frey of Holton; Mike (Lisa) Frey of Holton; Don (Dee) Frey of Holton; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mildred and John Cushman of Fremont; brother-in-law, John Cushman of Fremont; sister-in-law, Vonda (Jeff) Cushman; nephews and nieces, Tony (Angie) Frey; Corey (significant other, Andrea) Frey and his children, Austin and Addison; Jeremy; Becky; Stacy; Randy; Miranda; Megan; Ty; several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Gerald "Jerry" Frey and his brother-in-law, Jack Cushman. A time to gather and Celebrate Brian's life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 1-4pm at the Holton American Legion 9150 Holton Road Holton MI 49425.
