Brigitte Loughridge, age 88 of Hesperia, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Green Acres Assisted Living Center in Fremont. Brigitte was born on July 3, 1934 in Germany to Emil A. and Elsa (Murrweiss) Niethammer and later married Paul R. Loughridge Sr. on April 15, 1954 in Heilbronn, Germany. Paul preceded her in death on December 3, 2003. Brigitte moved to the Hesperia area on July 1, 1955 from Germany and had been a homemaker during her life. Brigitte was a active member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia where she had been an active member of the choir for many years and enjoyed helping with the soup and pie dinners at the church where she made over 15 pies for each dinner. She also enjoyed traveling, spending her winters in Florida and had volunteered at Love INC. in Newaygo. Brigitte is survived by family – son, Paul R. (Sharon) Loughridge of Comstock Park and their children and grandchildren – granddaughter, Rachelle (Samir) Kaltak and their children, Arlen and Vivian; granddaughter, Veronica (Michael) VanWagoner and their children, Brielle and Sienna; daughter, Patricia (Mike) Dawson of Montague and their children and grandchildren, granddaughter, Stephanie (Brant) Tallquist and their children, Brennan and Bailey; grandson, Rick and his children, Gabrial, Levi, Ryen, Raelyn, Karlee; son, Patrick (Aleschia) Loughridge of Muskegon and their children, Conner and Sydney. Brigitte was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Loughridge Sr. and her brother, Artur Niethammer.
