Bruce Alan Johnson, age 64 of Fremont, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Bruce was born on June 18, 1957 in Muskegon to Carl and Verna (Cottrell) Johnson and moved to the Fremont area in 1972 from Muskegon. Bruce has been a longtime woodsman and enjoyed working on cars, most recently watching the birds, bonfires, watching Clint Eastwood movies, was a U of M and Detroit Lions fan; playing cribbage and enjoyed good times with friends and family. Bruce is survived by his fiancé, Debra La Belle of Fremont; his children, Wendy (Fred) Welch of Holton; Wade Johnson of Ionia; Shawn (Jaimie) Johnson of Fremont; Eric (Brittany) Fowler of Grant; Stephanie La Belle of White Cloud; Steven (Stacy) La Belle of Walkerville; Samantha (Jesse) Johnson of Muskegon; Jessica Johnson of Muskegon; 21 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; his mother, Verna Coon of Muskegon; his sisters and brother, Bonnie Colgrove of Muskegon; Cindy Carlson of Muskegon; Carlyn Johnson of Twin Lake; Chris (Mike) Hubert of Hesperia; Janis Johnson of Muskegon; Julie Johnson of Fremont; Kelly (Carl) Genson of Irons; Carla Jo Johnson of Muskegon; David (Lisa) Johnson of Muskegon;; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Carl Johnson; his grandson, Jacob Arquette; by his brother, Timothy Rouse; and his former wife, Jo Lynn Williams. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 1:00 p.m - 4:00 p.m. at the Trail Town Diner in White Cloud following cremation.
