Buck Cook Jr., age 80, of Fremont passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017. Buck was born on September 6, 1937, in Carbon Hill, Alabama, to Hillard and Lucille (Strall) Cook and married Joan Mary Fowler on June 13, 1959, in Fremont. Buck was an expert tradesman, enjoyed carpentry and carving, fishing, and cherished his time with his children and grandchildren.

Buck is survived by his loving wife, Joan of Fremont; children, Lori Ann Cook of Beulah, Michael (Amy) Cook of Hudsonville, Steve (Anna) Cook of Hesperia, Rebecca (Marvin) Martin of Fremont, and Michelle (Scott) Riggs of Newaygo; grandchildren, Lowell B. (Marenda) Routley, Daphne (Tim) Deeren, Joe (Michelle) Routley, Jeremy Routley, James Routley, Trisha Cook, Meghan Cook, Gregg Sherman, Steven (Kate) Cook, Felicia Cook, Heather Woodworth, Tosha (Chris) McCullough, Sheana (Joe) Anastasiades, Jamie (Jim) Wemple, Dixie Winters, Patrick Martin, Kyrstin Hayes, Ashleigh VanWyk, and Britnay Riggs; 31 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Elloise (Jim) Witte of Indiana, Dorothy Cook Walters of Georgia, and Roy (Joline) Cook of Fremont.
