Bud Lingeman, age 80, of Fremont passed away Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Hackley Hospital in Muskegon. Bud was born on May 3, 1927 in Grosse Point, Michigan, to Sylvester A. and Gertrude (McNutt) Lingeman and later married Frances Buhr on November 8, 1947 in Gaylord, Michigan. Bud moved to the Fremont area in 1974 from Detroit and enjoyed playing golf. Bud had served in the United States Navy during World War II. Bud graduate from the Detroit Police Academy in 1947 and worked for the Detroit Police Department until his retirement as a Police Commander in 1974. Bud is survived by his wife, Frances of Fremont; his children, Marilyn (Michael) Yaquinto of Kirksville, Missouri; Christopher (Valerie) Lingeman of Arlington, Virginia; and Michael (Lora) Lingeman of Stanton, Michigan; his grandchildren, Edward, James, Anton, and Adam; great-grandchildren, Logan, Lane, and Waylon; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister. A Celebration Of Life was held on March 12, 2008 at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont.
