Byron A. Davis, age 52 of Hart, formerly of Fremont, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Corewell Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Byron was born on April 24, 1971 in Chicago and grew up in the Hart and Shelby area where he graduated from Oceana High School and was involved in wrestling and football. Byron moved to the Fremont area in 1993 from Shelby and had worked as a customer service parts representative in the automotive industry for several years and had most recently been working at Weingartz Implement in Cedar Springs. Byron was proud of his strong worth ethic throughout his lifetime and was obsessed with his grandchildren. Byron also enjoyed University of Michigan Football, fishing, lighthouses, all animals – especially dogs, gardening tomatoes. In his younger years he enjoyed camping, hiking, and coaching rocket football. Byron is survived by his children and grandchildren, TJ (Becca) Davis and their children, Teigan and Oliver of Newaygo; Christine (Dustin) Runions and their children, Madison and Adelaide of Fremont; Megan Davis of Grand Rapids; his sisters and brothers, Bob (Missy) Davis; Betty Dean; Bruce Davis; Brian (Becky) Davis; Bernard Davis; Barry (Cherie) Davis; Barbara (Chris) Kies; brother-in-law, Swami Milner; several step and half brothers and sisters; many nieces and nephews. Byron was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Jessie Richard; his sister, Belinda Milner; brother, Billy Joe Davis.
