DuBois, C. John C. John DuBois, age 54 of North Muskegon , passed away Sunday, October 27, 2002 at his home following a short illness. He was born on November 22, 1947 in Fremont to Francis and Mary Jane (Bulson) DuBois and married Vickie Skuse on April 16, 1983 in Whitehall . He has been a resident of North Muskegon for the past 12 years where he was a maintenance technician at the Whitehall Landing in Whitehall for the past 2 years. He was formerly a maintenance technician at the University Park Nursing Home for 25 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Vickie of North Muskegon; his children, John Warren DuBois of Twin Lake; Matthew Ryan DuBois of North Muskegon; Misty DuBois and Family of Las Vegas, Nevada; his mother, Mary Jane Sweet of Fremont; sisters, Teresa (Joe) Richards of Holton; Julie (Gene) Koch of White Cloud; Gail (Ron) Russell of Shelby; brother, Dennis (Diane) DuBois of Holton; mother and father-in-law, Victor & Leota Skuse of Whitehall; brothers-in-law, Donald Beattie of Holton; Scott Skuse of Whitehall; sisters-in-law, Christi (Andy) Flores of Whitehall; Tina (Mike) Schoonfield of Whitehall; step mother, Connie Swanson; step sisters, Coral Zack; Cindy Alexander; Pam Falbe; step brothers, Bill Zack; Kevin Zack; Bruce Kelly; Kevin Kelly; many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his father, Francis DuBois in 1996; sister Pamela Beattie in 2000 and brother-in-law, Steven Skuse. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 30, 2002 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Pastor David Grubber of the Cornerstone Free Methodist Church in Holton presiding with interment in the Lincoln Township Cemetery . Friends may consider the Visiting Nurses of Muskegon County at the Hackley Hospital or the American Cancer Society for memorial contributions.
