C. Richard Silverwood, age 82, of Fremont passed away Thursday, August 3, 2000 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. He was born on December 6, 1917, in Toledo, Ohio to LeRoy and Marie (White) Silverwood and married Joan Wierengo on February 21, 1940, in Muskegon. He was a retired plant manager of Belle-Sommers and Army veteran of WWII. He is survived by his loving wife Joan of Fremont; daughter Mary Jo Tate of Dowagiac; son Richard C. Silverwood of Birmingham, Michigan; sister-in-laws Berendina and Gertrude Wierengo of Fremont; and was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. Funeral Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2000, from the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in Fremont with rev. John Moser officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
