Calvin Eugene Jackson, age 77, of Hesperia passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at his home. Calvin was born on July 11, 1944, in Fremont to Leonard Corwin and Fannie Elizabeth (Newton) Jackson and married Susan Marie Slocum on April 15, 1978, in Hesperia. Calvin had worked at Gerber Products Company as a Group Leader and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and attending the family's sporting events. Calvin is survived by his children, Aleica (Brian) Seabrook of White Cloud, Kelley (Art) Sitter of White Cloud, and Calvin E. (Tabby) Jackson Jr. of White Cloud; grandchildren, Scott Seabrook, Shelby (David Vandermate) Seabrook, Kaittye (Chuck) Oberski, Jessica (Eko) Schoonmaker, Nathan Macomber, Hunter Jackson, Anyia Sanford, Sinder Edwards, and Bailee Sue Ann Jackson; great grandchildren, Koltyn, Collin, Klaysen, and Mayci; sisters, Marian Pulsipher of Hesperia, Sandra (Louis) Bugbee of Hesperia, and Mary Ellen Jackson of Hesperia; many nieces and nephews; his beloved dog and best friend Duke; and special neighbor Charlie Brooke and family. He was preceded by his parents, Leonard and Fannie; wife, Susan in 2015; brothers, Corwin Jackson and Carl Joe Jackson; sister, Patricia Ann Laisure; sister-in-law, Joan Jackson; and brother-in-law, Francis Pulsipher. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, on Monday, September 20, 2021, at the Crandell Funeral Homes in Fremont with visitation two hours prior to the service (10 – 12 PM). Interment will be in East Hesperia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Newaygo County Animal Shelter in White Cloud.
