Carl G. Dake, age 73 of Muskegon, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Carl was born on May 3, 1938 in Muskegon County to Mike and Dorothy (Horn) Dake and has been a longtime resident of the Muskegon area. Carl had been a production worker in the manufacturing industry and had enjoyed bowling and hunting. Carl is survived by his brother, Robert (Carol) Thomas of Hesperia; his sister, Mary Jane Gordon of Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Shirley Newman of Hesperia; several nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his sons, Michael Dake, Paul Dake, Kim Dake, and Anthony Dake; his sister, Helen Dodge and by his brother, George Thomas. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Lighthouse Community Church in Hesperia with Pastor Bob Collins presiding with interment in the Shelby Cemetery with his sons following cremation.
