Obituary

Foster, Carl Fremont Carl Foster, age 91 of Fremont, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2000 at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon. He was born on December 11, 1908 in Idaho to Nelson and Minnie (Harkness) Foster and lived his childhood in Edmore, Michigan. He married Hermena Kraley on December 9, 1929 in Hesperia. Hermena preceded him in death on November 8, 1977. He had been a maintenance worker at Gerber Products Company in Fremont for 42 years until his retirement. He was a friend of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Fremont; life member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1555 in Fremont; and served as a volunteer firefighter from 1931-1973 for the Fremont Fire Department. He is survived by his children, Donna Foster of Fremont; Dick (Patricia) Foster of Fremont; Paul (Barbara) Foster of Fremont; loving companion Vera Liscombe of Marion, Michigan; daughter-in-law Barbara (Richard) Eisenhouer of Marion; 7 granchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Foster of Edmore. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Leo and Clyde. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 20, 2000 from the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in Fremont with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends are asked to consider the Fremont Fire Department for a more lasting memorial. Arrangements by Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont.
