Frost, Dr. Carl H. Dr. Carl H. Frost, DDS age 93 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday evening, May 10, 2000 at the Spectrum Health Services in Grand Rapids. He was born on September 22, 1906 in Belding to Warren Alonzo and Mertel Mary (Holland) Frost and married Laura "Larry" Walters on September 19, 1937 in Battle Creek. Laura preceded him in death on November 6, 1997. He has been a resident of the Fremont Area since 1946 where he had been a owned his dentists office for 28 years until his retirement at age 67. He was a was a life member of the American Dental Assc.; was awarded the Silver Beaver Award; served at finance chairperson for the Boy Scouts of America and was awarded the Boy Scout of America Award; was a charter member of Fremont Rotary, a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary and recipient of the Service Above Self Award; belonged to the Sigma Delta Fraternity and Blue Key Fraternity; was the founder of the Renaissance Fund; past president of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce; and a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Carl L. (Jennifer) Frost of Ypsilanti; Kimberly Frost of Grand Rapids; Lyle W. (Diane) Frost of Lansing; Ronald (Jean) Frost of Romeo; Alyce Jean (Richard) Paulson of Laramie, WY; Donna (Ron) Stuit of Grand Rapids; Leona Croff of Ludington; many great nieces and nephews. 1 sister and 7 brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 15, 2000 from the First Congregational United Church of Christ Church with Rev. Frank Vietze presiding. Carl was the last of the 4th generation Frost Family to be buried in the River Ridge Cemetery in Belding where space still remains for the 5th generation of Frost Family.
