Carl D. Westcomb, age 65 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 while surrounded by family. Carl was born on June 26th, 1952 in Muskegon, Michigan to Leonard Westcomb, II and Kathryn Giddings and later married Darlene Smith on August 13th, 1975 in Gatesville, Texas. Carl was a long time resident of White Cloud and was a lifelong carpenter and mechanic, who had a passion for drag racing. Carl also enjoyed wood carving and feeding the deer, squirrels, and birds. Carl is survived by his wife, Darlene of White Cloud; his children: Brandy (Keith) Mikolich of Newaygo; Shawn (Carl) Miller of White Cloud; Tania (Steven) Spaulding of Newaygo; Lisa Westcomb (Daniel Miller) of White Cloud; and Shane (Michelle) Westcomb of White Cloud; his grandchildren: Garrett Slominiski, Olivia Mikolich, Jerry Westcomb, Tyler Sutherland, Meghan Sutherland, Justice Sutherland, Kyrstien DeCheney, Ethan Spaulding, Adisyn Spaulding, Seth DeCheney, Jasmine Scytko, Ariel DeCheney, and Keegan Whelpley; his siblings: Rose McDonald; Silvia Ansley, Wendy Hubbard, John Westcomb, Leonard (Buck) Westcomb III, Lloyd Westcomb, and Joana Westcomb. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, brother: William Westcomb, and grandson: Gagge Slominiski. Celebration of Life Services will be held in the spring of 2018 following Carl's wishes for cremation. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Westcomb family to assist with expenses.
