Wydeck, Carl F. Carl F. Wydeck, age 84 of Hesperia, formerly of Grand Haven, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2005 at his home following a short illness. Carl was born on May 18, 1921 in Detroit to Otto Henry and Dorothy (Hunt) Wydeck and later married Sylvia Schoolcraft on November 5, 1945 in Onaway, Michigan. Carl had worked for the Ottawa County Road Commission in the road maintenance department where he operated a grass cutting machine for many years until his retirement in 1983. He was also a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Army as a corpsman and received a bronze star. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sylvia of Hesperia; his children, Judy (Wayne) Cober of Spring Lake; Elizabeth Johnson of Baldwin; Tony (Mary) Wydeck of White Cloud; Nancy (Robert) Cook of Howard City; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; his brother, William (Del) Wydeck of Grand Haven; Eleanor Badder of Madison Heights, Michigan; Marion Baumgarner of Grand Haven. Carl was preceded in death by his son, Robert Wydeck; grandson, Christopher Cober; brothers, Jack and Herb Wydeck. Funeral memorial services were held on Friday, July 15, 2005 at the Disciples of Christ Church 14211 120th Ave Grand Haven Michigan.
