Carl Henry Zmrzlik, age 83 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Carl was born on May 15, 1938 in Evanston, Illinois to Charles Carl and Margaret (Haller) Zmrzlik and later married Nadalyn Johnson on October 8, 1958 in White Cloud. Carl had worked in the maintenance department of Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad Car Ferry in Ludington and later at CSX Railroad in Newaygo and Sparta until his retirement in 1991. Carl and his wife, Nadalyn founded, owned and operated the trailer park on Echo Drive in White Cloud since 1976 and Carl was known for being a collector of almost anything. He enjoyed camping, bonfires with family and friends, smelt dipping and fishing, and truly enjoyed spending time and teaching his grandchildren and great grandchildren old indian tricks. Carl is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nadalyn of White Cloud; his grandchildren, Bambi (Josh Bell) Zmrzlik; Kandis (Malcolm VandenToorn) Scott; Keith (Dustie) Zmrzlik; Bud (Tasha) Zmrzlik; Chad Zmrzlik; Tim Zmrzlik; Dustin (Aubrey) Zmrzlik; 11 great grandchildren; his sisters, Carolyn Carrier and Ruth Ann Watkins. Carl was preceded in death by his sons, Ron Zmrzlik; Carl L. "Joe" Zmrzlik; his parents, Charles and Margaret; his brother, David Zmrzlik; his sisters, Dorothy Halverson, Kathryn Fowler, Barbara Chupp, Beverly Tarrow. VISITATION : Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 1-2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel 1109 Court Street White Cloud MI 49349 with MEMORIAL SERVICES at 2pm at the funeral home.
