Carol Dawn Batch, age 73, of Holton passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at Spectrum Health Services – Gerber Memorial. Carol was born on November 7, 1947, in Muskegon to Clyde and Erma (Voss) Richards and married Ernest Nile Batch on December 21, 1984, in Holton. Carol was devoted to her family and a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Brunswick. Carol is survived by her daughter, Erma (Scott) Erickson of Holton; grandchildren, Kevin (Krystal) Erickson, Steven (Ashley) Erickson, Mitchell (Kaecie Hornsby) Erickson, Robert (Heather) Erickson, Sharri (Donny Huston) Erickson, Melissa Erickson, Cyndy (Bill) Bostian, Kari Batch, Kim (Scott Wenell) Batch, Rachel (Brent) Grasmeyer, and Joy Lynn Hendrick; great-grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Courtney, Riley, Jozalynn, Kendelynn, Deyonna, Aliah, Seth, Anjala, Brantley, River, Cameron, Gavin, Aidan, Grayson, Ryker, Daiken, Draven, Alayna, Alexis, Raelynn, Hunter, Adriana, and Justin; stepson, Ernest (Verta) Batch Jr.; brothers and sisters, Rita (Paul) Evelhoch, Diana (Leonard) Gaultney, Lisa (Bryan) Burkett, Bud (Kim) Richards Jr., and John Allen Richards; and multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Ernest on August 28, 2009; mother and father, Clyde and Erma; brother, Michael Clyde Richards; sister, Gail Ann Richards; and step daughter, Rebecca Hendrick. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Pete Schafer officiating. Due to COVID restrictions, there will be a limited number of people allowed to attend Mass. Masks and social distancing are required.
