Carol Sue Maring, age 75, of Fremont was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Trinity Health Hospital in Muskegon. Carol was born on December 16, 1946, in Beckley, West Virginia, to Farley and Lucile (Bearfield) Hudson. After moving to the Hudsonville area Carol met her future husband Thomas Maring. They married on May 21, 1962, in Grand Rapids and to hear her tell it, she really didn't like him much at first. Though plucking her out of her friend's convertible, his persistence paid off! Family and friends were blessed to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with them in May of this year. Carol had worked as a Certified Nurses Aide at several local nursing homes and enjoyed shopping, animals, and cherished time with her children and grandchildren. Carol will be greatly missed by the love of her life Thomas of Fremont; children, David (Robin) Maring of Fremont, Tammy Karrip of Newaygo, Dean (Suzanne) Maring of White Cloud, Tanya (Gordy) Atwood of White Cloud, Daniel Maring of Brohman, and Daren (Tami) Maring of Newaygo; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Hudson; and her devoted fur babies LucyLou and Peanut.
