Sekula, Carol Carol Sekula, age 93 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2005 at her home. Carol was born on October 2, 1911 in White Cloud, Michigan to George Wesley and Clara Belle (Cole) Pierce and later met and married Stanley A. Sekula on May 30, 1942 in Flint. Stanley preceded her in death on September 28, 1996. Carol has been a longtime resident of the White Cloud area and had only left the area during her school years where she lived in Flint with her family. She was an accomplished pianist and organist and enjoyed music. She had played in the 500 Piano Concert in Detroit, enjoyed dogs and was an avid reader until her blindness caused her to stop. She was affiliated with the Country Bible Church in White Cloud. She is survived by her sister, Lorraine (Pierce) Blanchard; her brother, Dale Pierce; her nieces, Susan (Blanchard) Gilbert; Karen (Vasconcellous) Blom; Dana (Vasconcellous) Daniels; Sharon (Pierce) Bird; Helen (Pierce) Goddard; Betty (Pierce) Morris; Nola Jean (Pierce) Mathison; her nephews, Dan Murphy; William Murphy; Nick Murphy; Chuck Burney; several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and sisters. Funeral memorial services were held on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at the Country Bible Church 3145 W 24th Street Fremont Michigan.
