Carol Sue "Susie" Gossard, age 75, of White Cloud went home to be with her Savior on Monday, June 29, 2020, with her family by her side. Susie was born on April 25, 1945, in Muskegon to Roy Edmond and Betty Jean (Walterick) Morphew and joined Darrell E. Gossard in marriage on November 23, 1963, in Muskegon. Susie had worked as a cook for the White Cloud School Systems but her career and vocation was raising, loving, and caring for her family. She enjoyed bingo, gardening, and family activities. Her Faith in God gave her a strong foundation to live her life. Susie was a member of the Big Prairie Community Church. Susie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Darrell; children, Mary D. (Jim) Wyant of Niles, Debra S. (John) Russell of Ludington, Brenda J. (Dave) Boyd of Hamilton, Tammi L. (Christopher) Lubelski of Niles, and Mike E. Gossard of Newaygo; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Barb Morse of South Carolina, Dale Morphew of Florida, Terri Jo (Ted) Gigowski of Otsego, and David (Diane) Morphew of Otsego; brother-in-law, Clay Bebout; many nieces and nephews; and dog Rosey. She was preceded by her sisters Frances Bebout, Debra Morphew, and brothers-in-law Francis G. Morse and John C. Stierwalt. There will be a Memorial Service for Susie at 11 AM on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at the Croton Trinity Bible Church with Pastor Curt Chaffee officiating. Interment will be in Big Prairie Township Cemetery. For a more lasting memorial, friends are asked to consider Hospice of Michigan.
