Cassandra Jo Sluiter, age 38, of Savannah, Georgia, and formerly of Fremont, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2023. Cassandra was born on July 1, 1984, in Fremont to Bradley Steven and Angeline Frances (Hendrix) Sluiter and was the fiancée of Jeffrey Taylor. Cassandra had served as a Sergeant until her retirement and honorable discharge from the United States Army. She enjoyed beading, movies, reading, cooking, and was an Ottawa and Potawatomi Indian. Cassandra is survived by her fiancé, Jeffrey; mother and father, Angeline and Bradley S. Sluiter; brother Justin Hendrix; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bradley Hendrix in 2019. Services will be held at 6 PM on Monday, June 27, 2023, at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. There will be visitation prior to the service starting at 5 PM. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. Friends may share memories and condolences online at www.crandellfh.com.
