Catherine G. Dobe, age 93 of Holton, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008 at the Heartland of Whitehall Nursing Home. Catherine was born on Jan. 26, 1915 in Fremont to Eric and Naomi Catherine (Anderson) Warner and later married Elwin Dobe on Sept. 3, 1938 in Newaygo. Elwin preceded her in death on June 21, 2000. Catherine had been a homemaker and enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting and gardening of fresh flowers. She was also known in the Holton area for her cooking and baking. She is survived by her children, Janet (Earl) Langler of Twin Lake; Phyllis Derks of Fremont; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Dobe Sr. ; her grandson, Richard Dobe Jr. Funeral services were held on February 15, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Selleck of the Holton United Methodist Church presiding.
