Catherine Mary "Cathie" Balaskovitz, age 62 of Twin Lake, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Cathie was born on April 9, 1954 in Muskegon to Robert A. and Bernice M. "Bunny" (Fleming) Jeannot and graduated from Mona Shores High School in 1972. Cathie met and later married George Balaskovitz on June 19, 1981 in Muskegon and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Cathie enjoyed being a homemaker, watching and feeding the birds, and working with computer art design. Cathie truly cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren and being a mother to her kids and "Mim" to her grandkids.

Cathie is survived by her husband, George of Twin Lake; her children, Mike Balaskovitz of Muskegon; Dan (Margaret "Maggie" Balaskovitz of Muskegon; Steve (Jessica) Balaskovitz of Montague; 6 grandchildren; her sister and brothers, Bob (Rene') Jeannot of Detroit; Art (Maureen) Jeannot of Honor, Michigan; Chris Wilke of Muskegon; her sister-in-law, Leanne Jeannot of Mattawan; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Cathie was preceded in death by her brother, John Jeannot.
