Morris, Catherine "Babe" Catherine Babe Morris of Hesperia passed away Sunday, November 19, 2006 at her home in Hesperia. Babe was born on March 30, 1926 to William and Nellie (Bus) VanBogelen and had been a secretary and receptionist at Kieft Insurance in Spring Lake for many years until her retirement. Babe married Virgil G. Morris on July 10, 1971 in Spring Lake and was a member of the Holton United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Grand Haven V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Red Hat Society, and was a member of the Sunshine Lady Ministry in Mission Texas. She is survived by her husband, Virgil of Hesperia; her daughters, Gwen Kay Andersen of Twin Lake; Kimberly Raye (Chuck) Schaub of Muskegon; her sons, James A. (Jeanne) Schubert of Arizona; Mitchell D. (Sarah) Schubert of Missouri; and Bradley W. (Antoinette) Schubert of Fruitport; her sister, Clazena DeVries of California; her brother, John William VanBogelen of California; her step children, Linda (Dale) White of Missouri; Virginia (Dennis) Byrne of Marne; Wayne (Peggy) Morris of Ravenna; Ronald (Cindy) Morris of Missouri; Richard Morris of Missouri; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Schubert, her daughter, Jennie Schubert, her sisters, Wilhelmina and Johanna and brother, William VanBogelen. Funeral memorial services were held on Wednesday, November 22, 2006, at the Holton United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Selleck of the Holton United Methodist Church presiding.
