Barber, Charles C. Charles C. Barber, age 93 of Newaygo, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2007 at his home. Charles was born on May 11, 1914 in Chicago to George and Barbara (Tuk) Barber. He later married Barbara Kreuger on December 5, 1958 in Rockford, Illinois and moved to the Newaygo area in 1965 from Rockford, Illinois. Charles had been a mechanic at the Sears and Roebuck Company in Grand Rapids from 1965 until his retirement in 1979. After retirement, Charles kept busy at home with his tractors and small engine repairs. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara of Newaygo; his daughter, Cheryl Ann (Brian) Marty of Wooster, Ohio; his son, Gary (Karen) Barber of Newaygo; grandchildren, Amanda and Geneva Yager; Bradley, Emily, Sarah Barber; numerous sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 half brother. Funeral graveside services were held on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery with Pastor Tim Looy of the Church at White Cloud presiding.
