Charles T. Carter, age 79, of White Cloud passed away on Thursday, May 08, 2014 at his home with his wife by his side. Charles was born on August 28, 1934 in Jackhorn, Kentucky to Jesse and Sadie (Hilton) Carter and married Betty on July 12, 1968. Charles was a truck driver and served his country in the Army. Charles enjoyed NASCAR, fishing and hunting, and being outdoors. Charles is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Beverly (LeRoy) Davis of Cedar Springs, Henry (Wendy Rose) Spradlin of White Cloud, Bessie (Craig) Davis of Cedar Springs, and James (Erin) Carter of Newaygo; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother, Jesse Carter; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Exa Rose, Clyde Carter, Nora Jane Williams, and Ann French. A visitation with the family will be held on Monday, May 12 from 2-4 PM and 6-8PM at the Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11AM at the funeral home in White Cloud with interment following in Big Prairie Cemetery.
