Charles Forest Knapp, age 69 of Newaygo, passed away Monday, May 13, 2002 at his home. He was born on July 10, 1932 in Utica, New York to Theodore T. and Mildred M. (Roberts) Brown and married Lou Beisiegel on May 10, 1969 in Havey, Illinois. He has been a resident of the Newaygo area since 1971 when he moved from Tinley Park, Illinois. Charles was retired from the Shaw Walker Company in Muskegon and had worked for the Culligan Corporation in Tinley Park, Illinois as a water softner technician prior to his moving to Newaygo. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Fremont where he had been an elder. He is survived by his wife, Lou of Newaygo; 2 sons, Phillip Andrew Beisiegel of Newaygo; Joel Larry Beisiegel of Newaygo; his brother, Arbra (Anita) Knapp of Turkey; brother-in-laws, Earl (Opal) Beisiegel of Bitely; Larry (Lee Ann) Beisiegel of Newaygo; Phillip Beisiegel of Oak Forest, Illinois; many nieces and nephews. Following the families wishes, no services will be held following cremation. Friends may consider the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Fremont for memorial contributions.
